Excuse me for a question.
I use the default template xtc4 in english version,when my customer use the wide screen monitor(revolution1280*768) The central index area will have lots of white space.How could i set the template in the middle and let the left and right column box fit for 1024wide pixel. thank you.

Just open the main template file (templates/xtc4/index.html) and change the format of the main table:
Maybe:

{config_load file="$language/lang_$language.conf" section="index"}
<table width="984"  border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" align="center">
...

You also can give the table a id and put the style information in the stylesheet.css.

don't forget to give the "main"-td an alignment="right". Otherwise IE would interpret this one as centered as well ;-)
