change index layout

In the index we have {$main_content}
when we open this I see the {$MODULE_new_products}.

I want to use the {$MODULE_new_products} in the index.
When I copy this string into index nothing happends.

What is it that I'm doing wrong?

same goes for the "greeting"

when I copy the {$text} and {$title} out of main_content.html (located in
templates\name of template\module\ )

and put these in the index.html nothing happends.

please help as I'm going crazy about this

Wan ich das copieere im index nichts functioniert.

Also Milcoi will wohl folgendes:

In der index.html ist die variable {main_content} aufgef?hrt um den -na? - Maincontent zu ?ffnen.

Er will stattdessen wohl {$MODULE_new_products} welches ein Teil von {main_content} ist ?ffnen.

Ich hab's mal probiert, das geht wirklich nicht.

Warum? Keine Ahnung.
