English Language displays blank page

Fresh installation of XTC without error messages. The Front and Back ends are working fine and are correctly displayed in the default language (German). However, when I select English in the Shop Front End, I get a blank page. Calling up the shop in a new browser still only displays the blank page until the session times out.

I could not find any reference to language problems similar to this in the Installation forums. I would appreciate any tipps or assistance that anyone could offer.

Thanks for looking at this entry.

XTC runs in a wrapper on Joomla. I chose to set up the .eu domain as a transition from the .de domain which runs VM. Please ignore the VM installation on the .eu portal as this contains no data and will be removed shortly.

In the meantime I get the blank page with almost every mouse click. I suspect a problem with rights to the server. I did set the appropriate rights for the installation, and also reset the specified directories to 777 after the installation.
