Where can i find an english xt-commerce installation guide? I found only german version.

I just purchased this software and the installation guide in the download only has a link to a forum that does not exist any longer. Where is the installation guide for English? This is not very professional...

I def agree and I can't even get into this forums support page. When they moved the site over they didn't bother bring the users or there permisions. I then had to give them my order number again and still haven't been let it. IDK if I just want my $$$ back or try to figure this thing out.ARRRR

friends, everybody who bought this software plus support, has a login to the support area!!! There you will find the installation guide. This is the generell forum open to everybody!!
Before complaining, "I want my money back", look at your mails. EVERYBODY was informed that the engl. forum has merged with the European one.
Therefore, do as the mail told you, and you will see the installation guide.

For those who bought the US version before the forums merged, register again with your old user name, and we will prune your account to sponser again.

Its in german, cause another friendly tester deleted the engl. language.
Basic installation is in english and german.

Have fun, and in case you order the support- try NOT to use f.. sh... and simmilar words.

It takes 30 seconds to reinstall the english language capability by the way, as I have just done on this site.

The shop installation is relatively simple and takes you through the process step by step. The only taxing issues are some chmods and creating a mysql database. The shop software is well worth using, highly rated.

If you choose to use the shop then you'll have to completely rewrite the english language files though as they were written by a 6th grade German dyslexic school kid.

You don't have to sign a support contract to download the software, you just can't download it from this site.

Let's just hope that our support will treat us better rather than treading us!

I'm wondering if you can help me. I have just purchased XT-commerce with support but can't find the english installation guide. I'm struggling through the german guide and trying to figure out which files to upload (via FTP) to my server. You seemed to understand the system on one of the posts I read.

Also, do you know if it's possible to run the shop in both english and german simultaneously - allowing customers to choose their language preference?

Unpack the zip and upload the contents of the /xtcommerce directory to your desired server location, then start the install by typing in http://www.your domain/your directory/xtc_installer

Install is in English or German

A list of directories the may have to be CHMODed will also appear. Change these per ftp immediately before continuing.

The out-of-the-box install is German/English anyway so no problems there. If you don't need the German then deinstall it in the admin after installation.
